Copper free click chemistry is a high efficient bioorthogonal reaction between an azide and a strained cyclooctyne in the absence of any metal catalysis. By eliminating the toxic copper catalyst, it has been successively applied to biorthogonal conjugation in live cells and whole organisms. We have DBCO and BCN products, which are highly strained cyclooctynes developed for copper free click chemistry
