DBCO-diazo-PEG4-Biotin is a cleavable biotinylation reagent containing a DBCO moiety for click chemistry and a cleavable diazo moiety. The dibenzocyclooctyne group (DBCO) is thermally stable with high specific reactivity toward azide group through strain-promoted click reaction in the absence of a catalyst. Â Diazo moiety allows efficient release of captured biotinylated molecules from streptavidin/avidin under mild conditions with hydrazine.
Excellent biocompatibility – strain-promoted click reaction occurs rapidly under mild buffer conditions with no need of accessory toxic copper catalyst
High chemoselectivity – azides and DBCO groups do not react or interfere with other functional groups found in biological samples but conjugate to one another with high efficiency
Cleavable diazo bond – can be reduced by hydrazine
